Monster Island, a mockbuster of The Asylum which came out in 2019 just around the time of Godzilla: King of the Monsters. The film is about an island called Monster Island that houses a monster. Monster Island is the monster.


Because this movie is about an asylum, it has the same budget as a big kid’s meal but uses it sparingly. It only features a handful of human characters. The big (now updated) stars are kept on one set so they can all film their scenes during lunch. We must not forget that this movie is a kaiju movie and that's the way they go. So maybe The Asylum won’t be so bad?
